Airborne Ranger Too
“The Worlds First Wheelchair Accessible Monster Ride Truck”
This unique Monster Ride Truck is dedicated to bring awareness to Childhood Disablities.
From the day this dream began, putting a smile on a child’s face was priority #1. This wonderful gift is brought to you by a series of tragic events.
Joe Cypher, aka “Ranger Joe”, was in a terrible car accident in 1988 that left him a paraplegic. Despite doctors telling Joe he would never walk again, he now has the ability to walk with braces. Not only that, but Joe drives one of the world’s most popular Monster Trucks:
Airborne Ranger
“The World’s First Hand-Controlled Monster Truck”
Bob Frank has always been a 13 year old boy in a 49 year old man’s body. Either riding horses or quads, driving trucks and jeeps he was always outdoors and on the move, until an unfortunate accident threatened to change his life. On Father’s Day 2004, Bob was in a water skiing accident that nearly severed his left foot. After being flown by life flight to the hospital, Doctor’s told Bob prior to surgery he may come out as an amputee. When Bob came out of surgery, he had sensations in his foot. The Doctor told Bob "I reattached it, but “someone else is making it work"”. After 27 months of recovery, Bob was able to walk again.
Then Bob met Joe and the dream began. Bob and Joe have become brothers with the dream of growing the Airborne Ranger Motorsport team to another level.
Joe has extended his desire to help physically challenged children with the Ranger Joe Mobility Foundation, a non-profit charity. The Airborne Ranger Too shows children and adults of all ages that there are no limits. The Airborne Ranger Too was built so that every man, woman, and child can have the ride of their life.
Built with safety as the first priority, this state of the art truck has been a challenge - something Bob and Joe know all about. Not only has Airborne Ranger Too been built to USHRA/MTRA standards, everything has been done from the ground up. Starting with just 2 pieces of square tubing on the shop floor, a Monster began to grow. Five months later Airborne Ranger Too had its first trial run. Driving around the block isn’t easy when your 14 feet tall and 13 feet wide, but with everything Bob has done, it was possible. This truck was built with a state of the art lift system, a custom safety system to allow a wheelchair to be lifted and safely secured inside the truck. Wheelchair confined or not, you too can ride safely. This feature is available for events where the disabled need special assistance. Please ask us for more information about this special feature.
